Harmful chemicals found in Laundry Products and Air fresheners

Laundry Products and Air Fresheners are just some of the household products that most of us use to keep our clothes clean and keep our homes smells fresh but little did we know that inspite of their usefulness they could be dangerous to our health. Research conducted at the University of Washington showed that a number of top-selling laundry products and air fresheners contain toxic chemicals which pose a serious threat to our health. Chemicals that have potential toxicity on these products found were acetone, the active ingredient in paint thinner and nail-polish remover; limonene, a molecule with a citrus scent; and acetaldehyde, chloromethane and 1, 4-dioxane.
